The EuroMov Technological Platform (TP) offers to a wide variety of users (R&D services, research laboratories, hospitals and rehabilitation centres, etc…) a state-of-the art technological equipment in the field of human movement. EuroMov-TP provides a unique set of human performance analysis tools, allowing a multi-methodological approach and encouraging inter-teams research projects.
EuroMov-TP includes large open-space and modular areas with the following equipment:
• A 8 cameras Nexus VICON motion analysis system
• Various POLHEMUS (including one Liberty) and ASCENSION magnetic tracking systems
• Cardiopulmonary exercise testing equipments (Fixed and portable gas analyzers + ECG)
• Several multipurpose data acquisition systems (Biopac, Labview) equipped with high precision sensors (ECG, EMG, goniometers, strain gauges, temperature, pression…)
• A high speed motorized treadmill
• Various ergometers (including an isokinetic system)
• A local oxygenation measurement system (Near Infra Red Spectroscopy)
• Customized virtual reality devices for behavioural research in the multi-sensory control of standing, walking, reaching, hitting.
In addition, EuroMov-TP offers privilege access to other research or equipment
facilities, including:
• a full sized indoor athletic track equipped with sensors and force plates (Languedoc-Roussillon Sport Palace, 50 m from the EuroMov building)
• Clinical evaluation rooms in the nearby Montpellier and Nîmes Hospitals
Access to EuroMov-TP
EuroMov-TP is an open regional technological platform. By contract, EuroMov-TP is open to a wide range of users including:
• International, national, and regional, clinical and fundamental research laboratories
• International, national, and regional R&D departments, SMS, spin-off companies
• Partner institutions of our EU projects (e.g., ENACTIVE, SKILLS, AFRESH)
• Services of the Montpellier-Nîmes hospital (CHU), including Functional Rehabilitation, Neurology, Geriatrics
